III. NARRATIVE SUMMARY OF RESEARCH
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Since 1990 an effort has engaged in understanding the mechanism of high Tc superconductivity (HTS) starting from simulational studies. Due to a strong demand of detailed microscopic information of interactions between particles, an analytical study of the electronic behavior in a low dimension for the case of strong coupling was carried out simultaneously with the simulational studies. The scientific outcomes have been documented in the corresponding published papers. The major contributions include a diagrammatical iteration approach (DIA) that has been developed to deal with a strongly correlated electron system by means of iterative procedures going beyond the random phase approximation (RPA) based on the well-known Wards identity; and an application of the approach to a layered two-dimensional (L2D) system that is the model structure of high-temperature superconductors; as well as good results that can consistently explain a series of experimental observations in HTS without conflicts that were encountered in other models and theories. In the past years, a completely new concept of the origin of superconductivity Coulomb correlation effect was proposed, based on the successful interpretation of the origin of the 2e factor, where e is the charge of an electron, in the Josephson effect and the magnetic flux quantization, attempting to unify the theory of high- and low-temperature superconductivity. Recently, we have found that a bound state between two electrons in the spin-singlet state can be formed from a repulsive interaction. The initiative of organizing the international conference described below is in part motivated by attempting to disseminate our discoveries within the international community of superconductivity.
