Study of high-temperature superconductivity. Localization in the low dimensional systems. Superconductivity and correlation effects in the layered systems. Non Fermi liquid behavior and strongly correlated electron systems. Electron-phonon interaction in the layered systems. Relaxation processes in the layered systems.

1991- 1992 : Visiting Research Professor Department of Physics and Atmospheric Science, Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA 19104 Fermi liquid effects in a layered system. Electron-plasmon interaction in a layered system.

1987-1991 : Senior Research Associate Institute of Surface Chemistry , Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Kiev, Ukraine Study of phase transitions in the one- and two-dimension systems of the localized dipole or magnetic moments with the long- range interaction (XY-model); mechanisms of high-temperature superconductivity in the low dimensional systems.

1983-1987 : Research Associate Institute of Semiconductors , Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Kiev, Ukraine Interaction of the infrared laser radiation with the narrow- gap and A-III B-V semiconductors; degenerated electron-hole plasma and phenomena related to the transport, optical and magnetic properties of the high density electron-hole plasma. Pinch effect and instabilities in the electron-hole plasma and relativistic electron-ion beams.
